Wilpattu takes its name from its villus: shallow, rain-filled lakes scattered through the dry-zone forest. In the dry months they're the only water for miles, and almost everything in the park comes to drink.
Mahesh collects you before dawn or after lunch and talks through the route based on recent animal movements.
We handle tickets at the gate while you settle into the open 4x4 as the forest wakes up.

Our jeeps carry a maximum of six guests, so groups stay small and everyone has a clear view for photos.
